POWERS AND FUNCTIONS OF MPDO

• The Mandal Parishad Development Officer shall be responsible for implementing the resolutions of Mandal Parishad and shall also exercise such powers and perform such functions as may be entrusted to him by the government.
  

He shall also exercise such powers of supervision over the Gram Panchayats in the Mandal as may be prescribed.
The Mandal Parishad Development officer shall, convene the meetings of the Mandal parishad and attend the same.
The Staff borne on the establishment of the Mandal Parishad and the Staff working in institutions and schemes transferred by the Government to the Mandal Parishad shall be under the administrative control and supervision of the Mandal parishad Development officer.
